Rob Renner
Rob Renners involvement on the project, besides consulting on his native "Boreas Media Empire" edition of the Scout Walker Kama Sutra, was as the Director for the entire project. This involved Directing not only standard 2D Earth photography for the shots and poses, but also for all the other media types for all the other editions of the Kama Sutra. 3D stills, 4D motion capture, spectrographic waveforms, 3D surround sonic mapping and a host of other types all had to be taken, often requiring entirely separate shooting sessions - all of which were directed by Rob.

Rob Renner: Director and Consultant [Boreas Media Empire Interests]

Rob Renner shouldn't be confused with the Earth movie director "Rob Reiner": director of such classics as "When Harry Met Sally". This would be a very bad thing to do. Very bad. So don't. Rob Renner appreciates "When Harry Met Sally" for its plot, actors, cinematography and direction - indeed Rob Renner ordered a screening of it to placate the increasingly obviously sexually frustrated art director Kirstophen who was getting dangerously wild with nervous energy. Meg Ryan happened to be one of his favourite Earth actresses (one of the few things he and Christopher could agree on) so, one showing later and a half-hour tea-break, Kristophen got rid of his nervous energy. You don't need jittery 309 metric ton robotic life-forms stomping around the set with little regard for anything but the state of his loins.

Rob Renner was further hampered on set by the huge satin sheets draped everywhere - his motor control system were not designed to handle the uneven silky-smooth surface (coming from a metal-based habitat orbiting Boreas 5), and hadn't had time to obtain an ancillary program to cope. As a result Rob would frequently be found pulling himself along on all fours when he had found it necessary to venture out onto the main set. Needless to say this did little to improve his mood, and laughter was not a wise response...

It is interesting to note that Rob Renner - who not only directed the project but founded it as well - chose for the subjects of his art two cybernetic entities generally employed (themselves and their race) en masse as mercenaries in battles and skirmishes form small-scale coups to system-wide full scale warfare. The camera crew were themselves decommissioned battle droids (now out of favour with arms dealers and battle strategists), as was Robs race in the distant past. Although little can be drawn from the imagery Rob has shot to make any point by this, much can made from the commentary and text with each media form, as well as the aims outlined in the 'about us' sections of Scout Walker Kama Sutra editions. Rob Renner is passionate about altering peoples perceptions of races often seen purely as one-dimensional mercenary-for-hire mindless killers.
