Press Release - Summary of the Church of the Grey

The Church of the Grey is one of the few religions that actively encourages people to think for themselves rather than tell its members what to think. The 'Church' has no preachers, no temples, nor rules and no claims to having the ear of divinity.
The Church of the Grey encourages its members to write their own 'holy' text and constantly edit and reassess the contents throughout their lives. Their personal 'Book of the Grey' consists of their own thoughts and beliefs on the world as seen through their own perceptions, as well as plagiarising from other any other sources that inspires them.
Anyone can join the Church of the Grey and believe exactly what they want - so long as this does not include hate/discrimination or violence towards others. The Church of the Grey, while not discouraging its members evangelising on behalf of the Church of the Grey, does discourage its members from evangelising for their own personal religion, as this would make it a following and thereby going against the core belief that everyone should find their own path.
As an example of this freedom of belief, the Church of the Grey's founders believe that, in the near future, aliens will make official and open contact with Earth. Although this belief is fundamental to them and at the core of the existence of the Church of the Grey, members do not have to subscribe to this belief at all.
