What beliefs gave rise to the Church of the Grey? We, the founders, believe that in the future intelligent extra-terrestrial life will make a public first contact with earth. We believe alien life has visited us many times in the past in a less than official capacity, and these incidents have been covered up, discredited or gone unnoticed by various means and fashions. We also believe that, as a species, we are not ready for a public first contact and all that will result from such contact - we are too primitive and narrow minded as a species.
The Church of the Grey is a response to this problem - by each studying the wisdom the world has to offer and reaching our own unconstrained conclusions, we will be better mentally equipped to deal with the sphere of our perceptions suddenly expanding beyond this planet and beyond these cultures. When our horizons suddenly broaden we need to be mentally and spiritually prepared to cope with an intergalactic outlook. We also believe that the aliens will help us to broaden our minds to this next level of perception, rather than let us thrash about on our own in fear and incomprehension. But we need to make a start, or else we may be beyond their help, and undeserving of it.
We need to cross the cultural divides and achieve a cohesion with one another - not at the loss of any cultures - we are inclusive, not exclusive. With each following their own path there is no reason why anything anyone considers valuable should be lost.
To find out how we personally came to such beliefs and conclusions, please read the first Book of the Grey and the background text that accompanies it.
