The Book of Future History
This book does not directly deal with the Church of the Grey, instead detailing the initial build up to apocalyptic events on the planet Dellah sometime near the end of the 26th Century. The Church of the Grey is mentioned numerous times due to one of the more minor protagonists (Renée Thalia) being a member of the Church of the Grey. A fact that, quite by chance, saves her life and the lives of many others.
The book briefly outlines some of the basic tenets of the Church of the Grey, and as such served as an inspiration for the founding of the Church of the Grey today - an event that was detailed to occur early in the 21st Century and born on the Internet and (to some degree) because of the Internet - just as it has, did and was.
We do not believe that makes the Church of the Grey any less valid as a religion, as we value the wisdom found in fiction as much as anywhere else.
